Warming Baked Pear

IMG_0077 2.jpg

I love making this recipe in winter time especially because it’s warm and ridiculously easy to make! But honestly this recipe is good all year round too. You can also use apple in replacement of the pear, which works out just as well.

Ingredients

2 medium - large pears

2 medjool dates

Cinnamon

Granola and coconut ice cream for serving

Method

  1. Cut pears in half and remove the core from the centre

  2. Split each medjool date in half, remove the seed and stuff each half of the medjool date into each half of the pear. Stuff the date where the core has been removed.

  3. Sprinkle with cinnamon

  4. Wrap each pear half in baking paper and then alfoil, ensure each piece is well covered

  5. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees C for approximately 40 minutes, or until well cooked and soft

  6. Best served warm

Serving suggestion: Serve with Some GRANOLA AND PANNA ORGANIC VANILLA BEAN ICE CREAM (pictured).
