Meet Brodie
Clinical Nutritionist BHSc, Integrative Health Practitioner IHP1, Yoga Teacher
Hi there, my name is Brodie! My interest towards holistic health and nutrition began in my early teens, when I started listening to a guest on the radio talk about nutrition. This conversation sparked my interest, where it challenged my thoughts about the foods I ate. From there, I became engrossed with all things nutrition where I went to seminars, started reading books and making healthier choices with the foods that I ate. My understanding around holistic health and nutrition has changed dramatically since my teenage years, but my passion for it hasn’t stopped.
I’ve been through my own health battles, where I have experienced an irregular menstrual cycle, amenorrhea (absent menstrual cycle), acne, eczema and psoriasis. Maintaining my own health has been an ongoing journey and one that I have drastically improved on over the years, mainly thanks to making changes to my diet and lifestyle. Basically, what I am trying to say is I totally understand what it’s like to feel helpless, stuck and like things are never going to get better!
My greatest mission is to help inspire, educate and empower women to feel more balanced in their lives, overall health and wellbeing. In order to achieve this, I look at understanding the root cause of their imbalances, both external and internal. Here I apply a holistic approach to help rebalance the body. I do not only believe in using food as medicine, but also know how important our external environment, mindset, sleep, movement and so much more comes into play with our health. I also firmly believe in a bio-individual approach, as we are all so different from one another, where I understand that one size does not fit all.
