Nut Free Bliss Balls

Nut Free Bliss Balls

These bliss balls have a delicious salted caramel flavour to them. They are a crowd pleaser and I always get asked for the recipe when I make them. For those that might not know, mesquite powder is made from seed pods. It has traditionally been eaten by Native Americans. You can normally find mesquite powder at health food shops, some bulk food stores and online. It is optional to add the mesquite powder in this recipe, however it does help add to the caramel flavour of these bliss balls.

Ingredients

2 cups sunflower seeds

1 cup shredded coconut

2 cups medjool dates, seeds removed

2 tbs coconut oil, melted

1 tsp celtic sea salt

1 tsp vanilla powder

1 tsp mesquite powder

Method

  1. Blend all ingredients in your blender or food processor until relatively fine and easy to mould into balls.

  2. Rolls bliss ball mixture into balls.

Recipe Tip: You can store these in the fridge or freezer if you’re wanting to have them on hand for longer.
