Crispy Baked Chickpeas

I love making these as a snack or adding them to salads for some crunch. The big tip to keeping the chickpeas crispy (and stop them from going soft) is once they’re done baking, turn off the oven and leave the chickpeas in there for a while until the oven cools down.

Chickpeas provide a generous source of protein. Did you know 1 cup of chickpeas is approximately 15g of protein!

Ingredients

1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp cumin

Celtic sea salt, to taste

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C

  2. Add chickpeas, spices and salt to bowl. Mix well to coat the chickpeas evenly

  3. Add chickpeas to a lined baking tray and spread evenly

  4. Bake chickpeas for approximately 20 minutes or until chickpeas are crisp

  5. Turn the oven off and leave the chickpeas in the oven while it cools down, this will prevent the chickpeas from going soft after
